ISN'T IT GOOD? NORWEGIAN WOOD

Been playing KINGS OF CONVENIENCE's "I Don't Know What I Can Save You From" ("live" version - Bonn, Germany 28-6-2004) on repeat mode non-stop. Pinched this from a mp3blog. I absolutely love "live" versions because it will always be a one-off, mistakes-or-not-there-is-no-turning-back kind of a musical moment that will never be repeated the same way. Also playing "live" will decide if the particular artist is worth any salt at all because it will be without the assistance of technology used in recording studios. The vocals will show up if what you heard on CD is the real thing or not.
Kings of Convenience are a duo from Bergen, Norway. This version is only the 2 guys and their guitars with vocal harmonies in the veins of Simon & Garfunkel.

Also on the playlist is a rare "live" accoustic version of "Shine On" by House of Love. Not forgetting Zhou Bichang (Bibi) "live" cover of Faye Wong's 闷 and her Olympic song, 夢想在望 and the brilliant "Place to be" by Nick Drake, this has been one "fantabulous" weekend journey of musical discoveries.

Addendum:
笔畅 -- What a NAME! Gotta give it to Bibi's parents for coming up with such a unique name, literally translated either as "fluent strokes" or "fluent writing" but to use "笔" (brush) in a NAME? That is really something else and IMHO "out of this world!".
"Bibi"? That sounds very PERANAKAN in our part of this world.
Both names truly stand out, likewise for Zhou Bichang's amazingly plain-Jane good looks!! Maybe it's just me but I think not.
